What a smile can hide.
It’s dangerous what a smile can hide,
A story, a secret, all can collide,
Ear to ear or smirk a little,
A gaiety, a demise or a mask too brittle,
Perception will differ, the deduction wouldn’t suffice,
The scorch of fire or the sooth of ice
The sorrowful truth and the beautiful lie,
it’s really dangerous what a smile can hide.
It’s the war within, guarded by the pretence,
The scar won’t appear, the smile will grow intense,
The deeper the slash the wider it will abide,
It’s quite Dangerous what a smile can hide.
The mask won’t rust the mask won’t shatter,
Yet, hear closely you can hear the heart’s clatter,
The mask sometimes crack but heart still defies,
It’s very dangerous what a smile can hide.
So now you smile, you have a story to tell,
Oh don’t lie, I know you that well,
Come my abode and tell me all,
What you smiling about and what makes you tall,
Or just borrow my smile and let yourself fly,
Fall or fly, the smile will hide.
